Working at BillShock Utilities was tiring to say the least. Each time Cassandra Skilling dragged herself through the front door to begin the daily routine of guiding each of her subordinates through their highly demanding jobs, she felt a sense of lethargy, which gradually increased as the end of the day drew nearer. So it’s no surprise she was snappy with her colleagues.
“File those job reports, would you Marie?” Cassie asked her assistant, making sure not to sound agitated by her dilly-dallying.
“Oh, I’ll do that just now Cas, this Sudoku is addictive.”
“Get up right now and file those job reports!”
Cassie slid her coat off sluggishly and removed her shoes with care. Her feet were aching with pain and her head thumping as she slumped herself on her living room sofa. Today had been a hard day.

This is only part of it. In the original the layout is correct, I ommited indents and new lines to save space.
HERE’S SOME MORE THAT I COULDN’T FIT IN.

Now, as she put her feet up on her coffee table, glass of wine in one hand, television remote in the other, she finally felt relaxed. Like a sleeping dog. Because dogs have no worries. Dogs don’t have to deal with dense assistants or meet impossible deadlines. Dogs don’t have answer untimely knocks on the door while they are relaxing!

“Alright, just coming!” she shouted to the door, pushing her feet into her slippers.

Guess what happens next :-) ?
I FIXED THE FIRST PARAGRAPH, DIDN’T REALISE HOW BAD THAT SENTENCE SOUNDED:
Working at BillShock Utilities was tiring to say the least. Each time Cassandra Skilling dragged herself through the front door to begin the daily routine of guiding each of her subordinates through their facile jobs, she felt a sense of lethargy. This gradually increased as the end of the day drew nearer. So it’s no surprise she was snappy with her colleagues.

ALSO ADDED A TINY BIT MORE, NO IDEA WHAT TO WRITE NEXT:
“Alright, just coming!” she shouted to the door, pushing her feet into her slippers.

The thumping continued. Louder and louder. Cassandra slowed down, cognizant of the harsh nature of the knocks, her steps laced with apprehension.
