How does one go about solving a Sudoku cube?

sudoku
tascosatennis1508 asked:

I can’t seem to get it. And I can’t find anything to help me get it. It’s like a rubiks cube but it has the sudoku numbers instead.

    WARNING
this guide only works if your cube has ALL centers as 5′s. Sorry for lengthy guide if this is not your case, I have warned you.

Hmm, if you know the process of solving a regular cube using the layer-by-layer method.

I used to own a sudoku cube, and it really wasn’t sudoku where you had to avoid every line, just get 1 of each number on each side, (which I thought sorta ruined the point) but it had a 5 on each center so it would have been impossible…

Now, for the first side, remember the even numbers, 2-4-8-6, find those EDGE PIECES (have 2 numbers on them) and position them on the top side so that they run counter clock wise. Make sure you have those pieces that also have another 2 on them. Now, fill in your corner piece, so the ones you need to find are….

    1-1-3
    3-3-1
    5-3-1
    7-3-1

Remember, as these are from memory, I’m only 25% sure these are the right numbers. Insert them appropriatly so that the face should roughly look like
    3_2_1
    1 l 1-2-3 l
    2 l 6-5-4 l
    3 l 7-8-9 l or something along these lines.
    ———
Now, middle layer, this will put the center thats in front of you either to the middle layer left or right the algorithm is….
    (right)
    D’- R’- D- R-D-F-D’-F’
    or
    (left)
    D-L-D’-L’- D’-F’-D-F

I’m realizing I’m running out of time, if you have it correct, it should say
    1-2-3 1-2-3
    4-5-6 4-5-6

For two sides of the first two layers. Now, the rest is simply up to you and your will.

The rest is simply orientation and permutation, flip the cube so the ones that you have finished are on the bottom, and follow the direction. Use common sense.

    Edit- Alittle more time

ok, orientation means (are the right numbers on top?) and permutations means (is it in the correct spot relative to the puzzle?)

Now, because you have already done the F2L (first two layers), you should know that each side already has the number 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 other than the top side (or the bottom side if you haven’t flipped the cube yet, shame on you! lol )

Now, just orient them using the codes given to you on the site I gave you. I know it will be difficult to understand, but it is all I can do for you until I establish my website.

And just do permutation, which will be less hard to understand, but will still be pretty hard. Website too.

Will update more on my website, I’m glad you asked this question, allowed me to make a guide lol
