The Marla Singer asked:
I’ve been doing Sudoku, Crosswords, Word Finds, and pretty much any popular puzzle almost daily for the last 5 years. I’ve run into Slitherlinks, which I absolutely am addicted to! Does anyone know any other puzzles I can find to print off on the net?

Have you tried cryptic xwords? The London Times has one that is diabollically hard.http://www.scrabulous.com/ This one is also supposed to be good.
I agree with the first reply — cryptic crosswords are terrific. They are fun and can be very mentally challenging. Here are a couple of “getting started” links for them:
And here is a page with a lot of cryptic puzzles:
Since you like sudoku, have you tried “Killer sudoku”? It’s a variant in which none of the starting numbers are filled in; instead, randomly-shaped subsets of squares are grouped together and you are given the sum of the digits in each group. You fill it in according to the normal rules of sudoku. It’s easier to see it than it is to explain it. Check this link:
(They are even more addictive than regular sudoku puzzles.)
You are in luck. There is a huge treasure trove of puzzles awaiting you. They are called cryptograms, and once bitten, you will never give them up!
It is a system of secret writing. At its very basic, it involves letter substitution. That is, if you saw the cryptographic word “eptf” — with a little skill you would translate it to the word “word” — (Using the qwerty typewriter keyboard, I merely substituted the letter to the immediate right of the real one. Thus E = w; p =o, t = r and f = d. ) Spies have used cryptography for millenia.
As Sherlock Holmes said: “My mind rebels at stagnation. Give me problems, give me work, give me the most abstruse cryptogram, or the most intricate analysis, and I am in my own proper atmosphere..”
.
You can pick up on some difficult forms of Sudoku. Check out the website in my profile — there’s a Brainteasers section in there. There’s Samurai Sudoku and Super Sudoku in there. These are really tough.
A different kind, level of sudoku games?
